In this course, I found the professor was very inspiring and encouraging. I was afraid of writing a paper, as it is much easier to write an essay but I had no fear and succeeded in this course. I like the challenge and fear I had in the class, it motivated me to work harder.I like to do the assigned reading first before going to lecture hall. It will help me to feel comfortable in the class and know what I should do before the lecture. I like how we were able to do the reading and get d one with the assignments before class.I am not sure if they are needed but the assignments are very important part of the course, especially when you don't know much about what you are doing. My professor always gave us a deadline for the assignments to be completed by the deadline, which made me more focused to do my homework and I know the deadline is really close.The assignments always gave a chance to a student to see how well they are able to finish the homework assignment. You will learn how to manage your time in the class and you will learn how to prepare yourself for the next section, which is a critical part of the first year.When I did the essay on the value of first year writing courses, I learned that I need to think of the paper and how I want to make it better. I should do my research before the topic. I should prepare myself and also look for examples in the literature. Finally, I need to find a good topic that I can relate to and write about.
